Helena made her first trip to Ft. Worth almost 2 weeks ago. The initial plan was for us to go down there. Because of work we were only going to be there about 36 hours, so they decided to take the plunge and make the drive. Meg and the kids had planned on staying a couple of extra days and Eddie would drive home Sunday. Because of full flights and Eddie being on call Friday-Sunday of the next weekend, they stayed until last night. Helena was able to have lunch with me at school and meet lots of friends. We went to see the trains at the Dallas Children's Hospital, splay with lots of friends, went to the Stock Show and generally had a blast.
As I've mentioned here before, I'm kind of a pack rat. I HATE to throw things away because of sentimentality or just because I might need it again. This is a Fisher Price zoo that belonged to B when he was about Reid's age. I still had all the animals, people and cars. I pulled it out this week and Reid loved it.
