Half A Year

It seems cliche to say "they grow up so fast", but there is truth to it (I guess it wouldn't be cliche if it weren't true, huh?).  Only six months ago, we were waiting for our sweet baby and now that precious girl is a half a year old! And speaking of growing...she has slowed somewhat, only 50% in height and 90% in weight at 18 lbs 7 oz. (we were off the chart for a little while).   

She just started solids this weekend. She has been exclusively breastfed and only had a bottle with breast milk a few times, so we didn't know how she would take it. Ha! She's been waiting for this her whole life! Kiwi and slightly steamed baby carrots, holy cow!!!!

                

She had some trouble getting them to her mouth and I can't tell you the frustration it caused. She figured out if she screeched, someone would pick it up for her so she could eat it. More efficient that way.

She is sitting like a pro but really likes to stand. She wants you to stand her up next to a table and let her lean against it while she plays with a toy, or just looks around, enjoying the admiring stares. Her very favorite thing in the world is her brother. She loves to watch him play and he loves her right back. She is also a big fan of her jumpy seat. When you say jump, she says "how high?" Her favorite activity, when not jumping, is sleeping. Girlfriend loves her some Z's.

Her life is pretty busy. Maintaining cutest baby in the world status is full time work, but she also has to model and wear all the dresses and bows I make. It's a time suck, I tell you. She does it all with a great attitude, though.
