I can't believe I've been off for a month and a half and have only posted 1 time since I've been home from NY. "Off" doesn't mean not working, since I do have to fund my addictions. In less than a month, I've done 7 shoots. I have 2 more this week and a wedding this weekend. I'm thinking that after the wedding, I'm going to take a little break. I've been lucky, though. Everything I've done so far has been of people who are friends or of children I love. Not a bad way to earn a little money for my hidey-hole.
This is an engagement shot I did last week. Sweet, sweet couple. It was 104 and we were downtown, but you could never tell by the way they were acting.

The family shot is of a friend, her 3 kids w/ spouses and 5 corgis. It's really a compilation of several shots since you all know that I couldn't get 7 people and 5 dogs looking ok at the same time. I think I took about 20 shots to get 1 or 2 that would work (if I moved some heads around).

This is a friend's precious little boy for his one year old shoot. All boy, look at the bruise on his forehead. Happiest little guy in the world, too. Shirt and tie shot? Sure, mom. Naked in the water? No problem. Crawling across the grass? OK. Change clothes a few times? If that's what you want. Why weren't my kids so compliant?

I don't have to tell you this is a bridal. Since I'm doing the wedding this weekend, I can only post a head shot. No peeking at the dress.

I've been shooting the twins since they were 1. Every year we worry about how they will act, since they are a little shy and only see me once or twice a year. Every year we never get what we planned, but always get something great. Maybe not studio great, but always true to their personalities. I think that's better.

The next 2 are the kids of someone I would have been friends with even if I had not had the pleasure of working with for several years. Her kids have been a part of my life since conception. I love the picture of the little guy because he just looks so cute being so sad. His mom made the unexcuseable mistake of buying him a RED sucker, his favorite color until that minute, instead of an ORANGE sucker, which had just become his new favorite color. To add insult to injury (and proving that she probably is the favorite kid), his sister got the orange sucker first. He'll probably need therapy! He was happy within 5 mins. though, after finding out that the red sucker tasted pretty good, too!

u need to use your photography addiction with my kids...anytime :)
