The kids came down for Spring Break and we finally had a chance to take Reid down to a REAL farm (not a petting zoo type thing) to see the machinery. That boy loves his heavy machinery! We were lucky enough to be keeping Crash that day, too, so I had 2 of my favorite toddlers with me. Then we picked up another buddy, Leyton, and his Granna. We had a full fledged PARTAY!!! A trip to Sonic for lunch and then off to the farm. It was the best day of the boys's lives. Running from truck to tractor to combine. Lawsy!
They got to climb and "drive" and just be boys.
They had such a good time, and so did we. Granna has been my friend and partner in crime for decades. We've done our crying together, our gardening together, our junking together and our daughters's weddings together. Now we get to grandma together and make memories with our boys. God is so good.
So many perils! Kinda Stephen King-ish, like the machines would creep up behind us while we weren't looking. ("Hey, wasn't that backhoe parked over there when we got here?" Cue scary music).
