Thought I'd give you a costume update since the chicken costume didn't work out so well. We went with a literary theme, Chicka Chicka Boom Boom, one of his favorite books when he was a little guy (he prefers books with a little more substance now). This costume he loved. He even refused to take off the hat and jacket at the party they attended.
Speaking of the party, it was a costume party and Meg and Eddie needed costumes, too. Eddie was on call and was going to go as a surgeon and wear his scrubs. I thought that was a boring idea (insert foreshadowing music here). Meg was going to make herself into a bag of jelly beans. Kenny remembered that he had seen the pumpkin costumes that I had made years ago and was able to dig them up pretty fast. Yet another benefit of being a pack rat. We were even able to find pictures of us in them.
The first time they were worn when I was pregnant with Meg. I hope everyone noticed that we also seem to have matching haircuts. Hmmm, I don't remember that being the look I was going for.
Meg was in middle school here. Such a cutie! Frownie McFrownerson is next to her.
And here are Meg, who didn't even need her pumpkin stuffed, and Eddie in the same costumes.
Oh, and the concern about being on call and in a costume? Maybe he wasn't so far off the mark after all.
