I thought I'd do a highlights of 2010 for my family like all the magazines, newspapers and the Today Show. Mine will not include births (none this year), deaths (thankfully, none of those either) or divorces. It did include some relocations, jobs changes and house updates, though. This is also a good time to mini-blog about all the things I meant to blog about. Saved me time writing it and you time reading it.
Here we go!
If you don't know that Meg and the baby moved back to Texas then you probably don't know me. Greatest thing ever! To add to the fun, B moved home, too, along with his dog, Ollie. It's made for a year of crazy baby lovin' and just plain good times. It's sort of like the last lunar eclipse. I didn't think it would happen during my life time or be as good as I thought it would be. No, my house is not as clean as it once was but now I see that the clean house was a sign of an old lady heading down the path of eccentric. So we've had a lot of dog hair and spit up on the floors along with the occasional delicate aroma of gently used diapers, but there is also lots laughing and playing and seeing life thru a baby's eyes.

This is so much better than a clean house! The downside of this is that soon, everyone will have to resume their real lives and leave us here alone again. It's gonna be like "it's better to have loved and lost than to have never loved before". It's better to have had your grown kids and grandbaby live with you and move out, leaving you lonely and heartbroken, than to have never had it at all.

I redid my den, a bedroom, the living room and the dining room this year. I posted pics of the living room but not the others. Click on the highlighted words to see some before pics. I made new curtains, got a new table and reupholstered some chairs that I picked up in Canton. We also painted.
We made several trips this year, the biggest being the move from Seattle to Ft. Worth. The whole fam went and it was great. I also posted about the mind numbing cruise across the Atlantic. I went to NYC 2 times, once with the Loop + some and once for a quick Christmas window trip.

Work is soooo much better this year. We all have good years and bad, but this year could make any year pale because my sweet friend Traci works with me now. I love, love, love her. We've been friends for more that 20 yrs and have worked together for about half of those. This year was like coming home.
B is almost finished with grad school and is working and interning, so he isn't home much. Meg can spend 30 days in Cuba every 2 months, so that's been nice for her and it gives us a chance to pre-miss them in preparation for their move to San Antonio.
That's our year in a nutshell. Wishing love and blessings to all my friends for the coming year. I am so grateful for God's mercy and blessing in my life and the lives of my family. Happy New Year to all!
