Birthday Party and Going Home

Reid had his first birthday party on Thursday. Since he was only about 19 hrs. old, we figured it qualified as his birth day. We had cake, sushi and a little wine. He had milk. Meg hadn't had sushi since February, so she was dying for some. We toasted Reid's birth with a little Columbia Valley Riesling in styrofoam cups.

And what's a first birthday without cake on your face?
The next day they got to bring him home, but not before tons of friends came by, dressed up for a Halloween party they were going to. Reid was dressed up, too, but not in a costume. Since the dress I had made for a girl (that come to find out I didn't want anyway, boys are much better!) might not be necessary, we also had a boy outfit on deck. Memaw bought a really cute knit outfit for Reid, but Meg thought it might be too big, so we also had a "tiny baby" outfit. It's the one Reid came home in and also the one Byron wore home from the hospital. So little Reid and Uncle "Bron" have a shared history already!
