Babies, Bellies and Brides

Last time I posted I had just gotten back from Spain, taken a trip to North Carolina with a group of friends and was flying to Washington to set up the nursery with Meg. From there I flew to OK to help B move into his new place. All was accomplished and I was home by the Friday before school started. I don't know if I've ever been so ready for school to start, I was pooped and needed some time to sit still.

I had several shoots during the first 2 weeks of school because I had done so little during the summer while I was out of town. I had 2 friends have babies a couple of weeks apart after school started, so I took some NEWborn pics. In addition to that I had a bridal, a senior, two 1 yr olds, a family and a birthday party. I'm also posting the last belly shot of Meg I did at the end of July at around 28 weeks, I think.
This is the birthday girl. True to all the pink and frills, she did not want her hands dirty.

This is a little guy wasn't really feelin' the moment. Luckily there was a playground nearby so he warmed up.
This is the first newborn I shot. Leyton Michael is the first grandchild of one of my best friends. She and I share a common love of flea markets, gardening and Mexican food. Her daughter was one of Meg's bridesmaids and she and I have weathered all the joys and heartaches that life can offer together. How fitting that we start this phase of our live together, too.
Baby #2...Jonathan Mark. A whopper at 8 lbs. 10 oz., he is already more than half the size of his 8 month old "big" brother, Parker, who weighs in at 15 lbs. Yes, 8 months. This is the 2nd miracle of the year for this family. First by adoption, then by surprise! This is a lesson that God answers prayers, sometimes in ways we can't even imagine.
This is Kaity. Precious girl and as pretty on the inside as she is on the outside.
I shot this family the first time when their daughter was a newborn. It is so much fun to see how much they've grown.
This is the bridal for a wedding I'm doing in Oct. The dress is FABULOUS! I wish you could see it, but it will have to wait until later. She was so much fun to work with and had so many fun ideas. It makes it so much more rewarding when brides know what they want and you can see their personalities come through.
This is the belly shot I did right before I left from DuPont. Hopefully I'll get another one done while she's here this week.
