While I was in NY with the girls, we stopped by Economy Candy. It's a shop that is filled to the ceilings with candy. A lot of the old stuff that you'd remember from your childhood. I saw some really big red lollipops that I thought would make a great prop for kid pictures I had scheduled. I bought a few and later, when I had dinner with 2 other moms who wanted me to take pictures of( I was going to write "shoot" but it just doesn't look right when you're talking about kids) their children, I told them about the lollipops. They bought some, too. The idea of little kids and big candy just sounds cute. Has it been that long since I've had little ones? Why didn't someone tell me?

This is his sister, enjoying hers.I wrote earlier about how we had a meltdown about the color of one of the suckers. What I didn't write was that meltdowns happened, to some degree, at every shoot. The one year old had an absolute fit everytime we took it from him to move him around. It also took 4 washings with Shout to get the red out of the overalls. Don't know if the twins cried, but I know the little girl ate, and I mean chomped down, not licked, hers. Wonder what their car ride home was like? Sticky 3 yr old twins, full of sugar, in the car for an hour. Sorry, moms.
This is from the shoot I did Thursday. Nothing like candy at 9:30 in the morning, right? He's 16 mos. old and I'm sure that any candy, much less candy this size, is not something that he gets on a regular basis. He was enchanted! I want to add that the color orange did not phase him in the least, unlike my little friend from earlier!
His tears came later, when it was time to leave and he was not allowed in the car in his current state. The last picture is of us cleaning him up in my kitchen sink. That seemed to cheer him up.

yummy! I want one!
